Background
Beaumont Providers website is a place where private/employed physicians, office coordinators and physician liaisons can go to find important information, links, documents, news, etc. The goal was to create a new website that was more modern, organized, user experience and interface and more user focused. Overall the goal was to make this website a better functioning tool for users to get things done and find what they need. *This design is currently only concept.
My Role
As the lead designer, I worked directly with the client. After wireframing the homepage and a few key pages I then went on to design with the approved look and feel. My responsibilities included: research, user testing (card sorting and interviews), concept development, wireframing, prototyping, UI/UX design, website design and style guide.
Solution
The new Beaumont Providers website is simple, clean and easy to navigate. Based on the feedback we were given we cleaned up the navigation and reorganized it so it made more sense. We restructured the content on the pages so the most important information was towards the top and there was fewer clicks to find information. We added a search feature for people to find things easier. Overall we made sure the website was mobile first, had better naming conventions, was better organized and less wordy.
